International Youth Water Polo Tournament in LYSTRUP (DK) 5-7 Feb 2010

Dear Water Polo friends

Lystrup Water Polo would like  to invite your youth water polo teams to participate in our annual water polo tournament.

At last year's tournament teams participated from Denmark, Norway and Germany  and we hope to repeat the success with even more international participants this year.

The tournament is for youth teams (mixed boys and girls teams) in three different age groups: U11 (born 1999+), U13 (born 1997+) & U15 (born 1995+). However, like previous years, it is possible to register individual players if you don’t have an entire team to register, and we will help individual players find a team so that you can participate in the tournament. It is also possible to register individual players who do not meet the age requirements, only that we know it in advance! In case of teams that register players outside the age criteria, the team will be competing in the most appropriate age group but can’t win the tournament and thus can’t proceed to the semi-finals etc.

The tournament is played in an indoor swimming pool (12 to 25 meters). U11 games will be played on a smaller field (15 to 10 Meters) with only 5 players in the water for each team. U13 and U15 will be played in a big field (12 to 25 Meters) with 7 players in the water for each team. Each game last 4 x 5 minutes and each team will be guaranteed to play a minimum of 4 games during the tournament.

There are gold, silver and bronze medals in each age group.
The teams will stay in a school (class rooms) close to the swimming arena. During the tournament food will be served in the dining area.     
The cost to participate in the tournament:
Entry fee per team: 500 DKK (67 EUR)
Deposit per class room: 300 DKK (40 EUR) (refunded after the tournament if the room is same condition as received)
Entry fees per player: 50 DKK (7 EUR)
Accommodation: 300 DKK per participant (covers dinner Saturday, drinks and cake on Saturday evening and breakfast and lunch Sunday. It’s possible to order additional food for the trip home at a charge of additional 35 DKK (4.5 EUR)  per person (must be ordered at registration)

For registration, please complete the attached entry form. Deadline for subscribing: December 14, 2009. 
The tournament is expected to start Friday evening and ends Sunday around 17:00.  A final game program will for forwarded to the registered teams during January 2010.

Please notice that there is a maximum number of teams that can participate in the tournament! So do not wait to join the tournament - register your teams today!
